Bar Harbor Campground is family-owned and is directed towards families. Advance reservations are not accepted.
Somes Sound View Campground
Located on Mount Desert Island, Somes Sound View is a quiet campground on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Tent and small camper sites are available and amenities include restrooms, water, electricity hookups, a store, a recreation room and more.
Blackwoods Campground Acadia National Park
Blackwoods Campground is located along Route 3, approximately three mi (five km) south of Bar Harbor and is one of two primary campgrounds in the park. Both tents and RVs (no hook-ups or utilities) welcome and all sites are wooded. The campground is open year round but advance permits and primitive facilities apply during off season.
Hadley's Point Campground
At Hadley's Point Campground, enjoy hot metered showers, modern bathrooms, metered propane and more. Weekly rates are offered.
Bar Harbor KOA
The Bar Harbor KOA features 3,500 feet of Atlantic shoreline by the entrance to Acadia National Park and includes a private swimming beach and an occasional sideshow from the local seals. Launch your boat or rent a kayak for a loon's-eye view of Mount Desert Island, its wooded contours rising more than 1,500 feet up Cadillac Mountain. An hourly shuttle runs from KOA to Bar Harbor in season.
Mount Desert Campground
This private campground is a Mount Desert favorite for its quiet location, clean facilities and friendly service. Amenities include hot showers, tent platforms, electric hook-ups and wireless Internet access at the campground's Gathering Place, where campers can also find pastries, coffee, ice and wood. Reservations recommended during July and August, pets welcome except for during these two months. Canoes and kayaks available.
